Chris Stafford
President
Prior to forming C.J. Stafford & Associates in 1981, Chris spent over 15 years in engineering in Canada and England. In addition to recruiting, he has been involved in career counselling, performance appraisals and skills analysis.From his own experience in mining, Chris knows the difficulty employers face in finding and attracting quality people. In large part, it is this appreciation that accounts for the company's intial and continuing success.
Chris is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Chris chaired the education committee of the CIM Toronto branch from 1996 to 2000 and continues to be active in the mining industry.
Rick Hutson
Senior Recruiting Consultant
Rick joined C.J. Stafford & Associates after 20 years with Amoco Production Company in various technical and managerial roles internationally. He has worked in Canada, U.S.A., New Zealand, Australia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Rick`s diverse experience has seen him in such roles as Project General Manager, Chief Geologist, Country Manager and Vice President. Prior to relocation back to Toronto, Rick was Vice President of Business Development for a technical consulting firm based in Houston, Texas.Rick is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, where he currently is the Chair of the Toronto Branch, and is a Registered Professional Geologist (Alberta). Rick is a Geological Engineer from University of Toronto.
Steve Petrovic
Senior Recruiting Consultant
Steve joined C.J. Stafford & Associates as a Senior Consultant, prior to which he was Country Manager for a leading international executive search firm, Pedersen & Partners, where he championed market and brand development in southeast Europe, and completed retained executive searches in Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and the Czech Republic.Steve has also held senior management roles in the oil and gas and metals industries where he developed and managed client relationships, negotiated major commercial contracts and championed sales efforts in North America, Europe and North Africa.
Steve has an Honours B.Sc. Degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from McMaster University.
